"German Shorthaired Pointers since 1974"
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ken spent his early years in southern Wisconsin
where he learned the fine art of hunting and fishing by surrounding himself with
friends that enjoyed similar pastimes. His love for the outdoors led him to the nation’s premiere
College of Natural Resources in the north central Wisconsin community of Stevens
Point, where he earned a degree in Resource Management.
After graduation, he remained in the area, settling in the Wisconsin
River Valley, where he and his wife Lynda raised two sons, Erik and Karl and a
kennel full of bird-dogs. For more
than two decades, Ken has worked in water resource management and is currently
Executive Director of the Wisconsin Rural Water Association.
But his passion is a rural lifestyle and the joy of raising a family and
bird-dogs in a place he often refers to as “Reality”.
He has written extensively since the early eighties about his experiences
and has been published in the following magazines and newspapers;
Field and Stream | Woods and Waters |
Fur - Fish - Game | Ruffed Grouse Society's "Drumming Log" |
Wing & Shot | Badger Sportsman |
Plover Profile | Tomorrow River Times |
Manawa Advocate | Wisconsin Sportsman |
