HUBER INFO
Inmates
are not allowed incoming calls. They have access to a telephone once
they have been moved to a housing area within the jail facility. All
calls out-going are collect calls. Depending on the individual inmates
classification, they may be allowed to purchase a calling card to use
within the facility. These calling cards are only usable through the
jail facility phone system. Calling cards purchased from outside
vendors will not work on the jail phone system.
If
you are requesting to block calls from the Wood County Jail, listen to
the directions from the operator at the time the call is received. If
problems continue you may contact the Wood County Jail and request a
block placed on your telephone number. This prohibits any calls coming
into your telephone number from the jail facility.
MAIL
There
is no limit to the amount of mail that an inmate/juvenile may receive
but only a reasonable amount will be allowed to remain in the inmate's
possession at one time. The rest of the mail will be placed with the
inmate's property or disposed of. Incoming mail will be distributed to
inmates daily upon receipt or as soon as possible thereafter.
Incoming
and outgoing mail will be inspected for security reasons. Mail deemed a
security risk or containing contraband will not be delivered. Incoming
mail will be opened by correctional staff and examined for such. Legal
mail may be opened by the correctional officer in the presence of an
inmate.
Any
incoming or outgoing mail that is deemed to be gang related, sexually
explicate, illegal activity, or inappropriate shall be confiscated,
this includes personal photographs. Personal photographs are limited to
