SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT FEES

Section 1.  To create chapter 237 of the Wood County Code of Ordinances to read as follows:

237.01    WARRANT FEES

A.     A person picked up on a warrant by or on behalf of the Wood County Sheriff’s Department shall be charged a fee of $50 or 10 percent of the amount of the bond(s), whichever is greater.

B.     A person picked up on a warrant shall also be charged a transportation fee for the round trip miles in picking up the person and delivering them to the Wood County Jail.  The transportation fee shall begin at $.485 per mile and shall increase and decrease in the same amount as the mileage rate reimbursed to Wood County employees.

Section 2.  This ordinance shall be effective upon passage and publication as required by law.  This ordinance supersedes any ordinance in conflict with it.
