     AUTHORIZATION OF SCHOOL CROSSING GUARDS ‑ LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL

Chapter 225 .01  PURPOSE

            Wood County deems it in the best interest of the general welfare to provide for the appointment of adult school crossing guards in the vicinity of Lincoln High School.

Chapter 225 .02  POWER TO APPOINT

            The Sheriff & Traffic Committee shall be delegated the legislative authority to appoint school crossing guards after rules and procedures are developed by the Board of Education or its designee, and the Wood County Sheriff's Department or its designee.

Chapter 225 .03  UNIFORMS AND SIGNS

            Appointed school crossing guards shall wear insignia or uniforms which designate them as school crossing guards and shall be equipped with signals or signs to direct traffic to stop at school crossings.

Chapter 225 .04  EFFECTIVE DATE

            This ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its passage and publication as provided by law.
